HINTS ON FINDING THE RIGHT NEIGHBORHOOD
Decide what type of neighborhood
best suits your lifestyle. Are you looking for a small,
intimate subdivision, or do your prefer the community feeling of
a master planned development?
Survey the AREA around the neighborhood. Be
sure check out the basic services available like grocery stores,
restaurants, post offices and dry cleaners. Hospitals and medical
care should be available within a reasonable driving distance.
Check into the quality of local schools, nursery schools and colleges.
Review
the ACCESSIBILITY of the neighborhood. Proximity to work centers,
highways, public transportation and other transit will have a great
impact on your quality of life.
Consider the AMENITIES of the neighborhood. If
you have an active lifestyle, you might prefer a community with
amenities like community pool, golf course, walking trails.
Find
out if the neighborhood has additional fees. Most communities
have Homeowner Association Fees (HOA) and they vary community to
community. Additional fees may include Community Development District
(CDD) Fees which cover infrastructure costs of new neighborhoods. |
